Absofuckinglutely !!
So why are we being told there isn't a Union and why have things gotten so bad?
The Director did terminate the Collective Bargaining Unit meaning in their eyes the Master Agreement no longer applies. However AFGE and CPL33 are currently fighting and challenging this in court and are expecting a decision on a preliminary injunction soon. The union is still in tact and they can't change that or the policies and laws in place to protect you.
Is what they're doing legal?

How does me asking for a union rep in a disciplinary interview affect national security?
Short answer: it doesn’t. Lol Think of it like someone sticking their foot in a closing door — it doesn’t belong there, but they’re trying to weasel their way in anyway. That’s what the agency is doing here: forcing a national security excuse into a place it doesn’t belong.
Unless my showing up 15 minutes late is somehow a matter for the Pentagon. If they really believe that’s national security, we’re all in more trouble than we thought.
Is there still a union?

You've got a lot of good soldiers but when the General is a double agent... You have a problem
The current president said we had rights like Weingarten but they're being denied.
What rights do we still have? Do we still have weingarten rights?
Weingarten rights — the right to request union representation — are still law. Coleman will probably may deny them saying there is no union so how can you get a union rep, but you need to ensure those denials need are documented. If you ask for a union rep and they say no, state it clearly: “I am requesting representation under Weingarten.” If they still refuse, continue respectfully, request they note your request and their refusal and then notify the union afterward.
Every denial builds the case. You may even have the case overturned simply because they violated your due process rights.
Your role in the disciplinary process hasn’t changed: If you unequivocally screwed up and they've got you dead to rights, own it.
Don't turn a one day suspension into a termination because you thought you were smarter than they were.Your rep's job begins with making sure you’re treated fairly. Then making sure you don’t talk yourself into worse trouble.
Diarrhea of the mouth is not your friend. And trust me — it’s never once saved anyone, inside or outside the gates.
Answer truthfully and completely, as best you can recall, but don't allow them to control the narrative and suggest what you may have done, said or even how you may have felt. It's your affidavit not theirs. If you truly don’t recall something, say so. Don’t let them put words in your mouth. If they keep repeating the same question to push for a different answer, respond respectfully: “Asked and answered.” (And no, repeating the same question louder doesn’t magically make your answer change.)
Review your written statement carefully. If it doesn’t reflect what you actually said, insist it be corrected. Most importantly: notify a union rep at every step. If the case is sustained and you get a proposal letter, from that point forward you are clearly entitled by law to representation and it doesn’t have to be a union rep. It can technically be anyone you trust, though I wouldn’t recommend your neighbor or your spouse unless they’re an attorney. Otherwise you’re just trading one problem for another.
Why hasn't anyone explained any of this stuff before?
What's going on with this AWOL thing and shutdown?
The current attempt by local management to illegally convert sick leave to AWOL is a direct attack on every officer's paycheck and family. While the current local leadership is silent, the fight has begun.
I am actively supporting the staff members who bravely flagged this policy violation to the Agency and outside channels. We are preparing Congressional and OSC complaints to stop the payroll theft
What can we do?
First thing, if you haven't signed up for edues and joined or rejoined, that's a start. I need your vote. We want to ensure every possible measure is taken to force the Agency to reverse the illegal AWOL coding, pay staff and restore sick leave. We must apply external pressure. I promise you I will do everything in my power to rectify this injustice.
Remember: This can even be done in anonymity! I've prepared templates to make the process quick and easy. The links in the dropdown menu will guide you in filing a formal complaint with the Office of Special Counsel (OSC) and your local Congressional Representative.
Last question.... Aren't you that guy that everybody says is an asshole and hates Trump.
LMAO... YES! and YES!!
And unapologetically. on both. I'm direct and I'm blunt. I'm direct and blunt... fuck your feelings because we're all grown. Now that doesn't mean I wouldn't lay it down for any one of you.
With regards to Management I know there are some critics saying my style can be too aggressive but for every public admonishment they get from me there were two private and professional attempts to resolve the issue. Remember Dalton. I'm gonna be nice until its time to not be nice.
With regards to Dump... I mean Trump. I make no apologies there either. But with that said, anyone who knows me knows I love to talk shit. My union protege is a huge Trump supporter. Yup he's a clown. Yet we fight this battle together, break bread together and trust each other implicitly. He's the smartest dumbass I know.
But he'll also acknowledge that when it comes to unions the current administration is not an ally.
Finally, to sum it up. Yes I'm an asshole and yes I hate Trump.
I also can go from professional to kick in the door down in 10 seconds when need be. For the newer staff if you want any shot at experiencing anything remotely like the good old days you've heard about com e out and vote or request a mail in ballot.

Because your local leadership sucks! I'm not talking the VP's or stewards ... everyone has to be on the same page or they're going to be knocking their heads against the wall. Example.. one of the hardest working and vocal stewards on the complex is one of the guys at Pen 2. (Trained him myself) Has already said if things stay the same he can't do it anymore.
It's already a thankless position, but when you pay your dues, put free time in from home, make yourself a target, ask nothing in return and then get no support... it's that much more difficult. It's tough to stick your neck out and then the top dog, with full immunity and recognition doesn't join the fight or even support you.
The election can mean everything. It's going to be a tough fight but you've as good as lost even with an injunction if you stay on this path.
