I know the current climate. I know the local leadership is afraid to speak up, and I respect the position of every staff member who feels intimidated. But fear can't protect your rights. With the CBA protections gone, you need a President who has nothing left to lose.

I'm retiring, but I'm not quitting. By staying on as your President, I would be immune to the typical threats and retaliation that silence active staff.
